Sean O’Loughlin, conductor
Sean O’Loughlin (b.1972) is the Principal Pops Conductor of the Victoria Symphony and the Principal Pops Conductor of the Syracuse Symphony. His diverse background includes collaborations with some of the leading symphonies and popular artists of today. As a conductor, he has led performances with the Boston Pops Orchestra, the San Francisco Symphony, the Chicago Symphony, the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, the Minnesota Orchestra, the National Arts Centre Orchestra, the Atlanta Symphony, the Dallas Symphony, the Houston Symphony, the Vancouver Symphony and the San Diego Symphony amongst others. He has served as conductor for symphony tours with Josh Groban, Sarah McLachlan, The Decemberists and the Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebration. He has appeared on Good Morning America and the PBS Special “Stages” with Josh Groban in addition to NBC’s “A Very Pentatonix Christmas.”
Recent collaborations include such artists as Alicia Keys, Josh Groban, Journey, a-ha, Jason Mraz, The Beach Boys, Sarah McLachlan, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, Pentatonix, Kelly Clarkson, Diana Ross, Gladys Knight, Blue Man Group, Janelle Monáe, Audra McDonald, Hall and Oates, the Indigo Girls, The Go-Go’s, Bonnie Raitt, Pink Martini, Brandi Carlile, Weird Al Yankovic, Melissa Etheridge and others. Through his growing number of commissioned and published works, Sean is excited to continue contributing to the rich history of orchestral and wind band literature. His music is published by Excelcia Music, Hal Leonard and Carl Fischer. An annual ASCAP Special Awards winner, Sean was a composition fellow at the Henry Mancini Institute in Los Angeles, and holds composition degrees from New England Conservatory and Syracuse University.
Julia Goodwin, vocalist
Julia Goodwin is a pop/contemporary R&B singer and songwriter from Syracuse, NY, who wears her heart on her sleeve. Her soulful sound and warm-hearted nature allow her to keep it real and connect with an array of audiences.
Goodwin’s voice has been applauded as “phenomenally gifted” (New York Times). She has performed on some of the world’s most renowned stages: Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center, Birdland, The Palladium, 54 Below, The Wynn, The Rainbow Room, NFL stadiums, The Dolby Theater, and Radio City Music Hall. She was featured as a Quarter Finalist on Season 9 of NBC’s America’s Got Talent and has acquired a fan base online posting popular covers/derivative works; sometimes alongside her younger sister, Sara Goodwin.
Over the years, she has been invited to join an A-list of multiple award-winning singers from the worlds of Jazz, Broadway, Cabaret and Pop: Michael Feinstein, Freddy Cole, Christine Ebersole, Kristin Chenoweth, Dan Brubeck, Darren Criss, Elaine Paige, Marilyn Maye, Aaron Tveit, Jake Miller, Benny Mardones, Andy Grammer, Jessica Sanchez, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Trombone Shorty, B.B. King, Michael McDonald, and others.
Goodwin graduated from Syracuse University in 2020, majoring in Music Industry with a concentration in Jazz/Commercial studies.
Nick Ziobro, vocalist
Nick Ziobro is a dynamic interpreter of classic American standards, named the national winner of the 2012 Michael Feinstein Great American Songbook Vocal Competition. He spent a year as the Great American Songbook Youth Ambassador, touring with his mentor Michael Feinstein.
He made his New York debut at Feinstein’s at Loews Regency in 2012, opening for Feinstein and Marilyn Maye. The New York Times praised his “easy swinging confidence and charm,” suggesting he could become “another Michael Bublé.” Critics have also called him “a radiant presence” (Edge Los Angeles), “absolutely breathtaking” (Carmel Current), and “stunning” (Napa Valley Register).
Ziobro has performed at Great American Songbook Hall of Fame induction galas alongside Liza Minnelli, Barry Manilow, Rita Moreno, and Jose Feliciano, and sang the National Anthem for the Indianapolis Colts. He has shared the stage with cabaret stars including Feinstein, Marilyn Maye, and Ann Hampton Calloway, and opened for Barbara Cook and B.B. King.
His orchestral engagements include the Pasadena Pops under Marvin Hamlisch, Seattle Symphony, San Francisco Symphony, and Cincinnati Pops. He has performed at Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center, Birdland, and internationally in Tuscany, Italy.
Ziobro’s debut album, A Lot of Livin’ to Do, produced by Michael Feinstein, was released in 2014. He holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Rider University and has appeared on America’s Got Talent and national TV and radio commercials.
