Videos and lesson plans featuring the Victoria Symphony
The Victoria Symphony (VS) has developed a new set of educational support materials designed to engage elementary and early middle school students with symphonic music. These digital modules are available for FREE online for teachers to use.
Each digital module consists of a pre-recorded short orchestral work (or movement) performed by the VS paired with an associated lesson plan developed by Music Education consultants Marcelline Moody and Kimberley Manerikar. Their bios can be found here.
The videos feature members of the orchestra discussing aspects of the piece, demonstrating their instruments, highlighting their role in the work or talking about what it’s like to be a member of a symphony orchestra
These videos are FREE for everyone to use and enjoy. Please fill out the form below to receive access.
