Symphony in the Summer Festival Returns Across Southern Vancouver Island
Victoria, B.C. – The Victoria Symphony (VS) is pleased to announce the return of its annual Symphony in the Summer Festival, a vibrant celebration of orchestral music taking place across Southern Vancouver Island from July 30 to August 9. New to the Festival this summer is a FREE event for families with young children.
Audiences can look forward to an engaging mix of orchestral favourites with programming that spans beloved classical masterworks and lively seasonal selections designed to offer accessible and inspiring concert experiences for audiences of all ages.

- July 30, Christ Church Cathedral – Beethoven Symphony No. 8 (Andrei Feher, conductor)
- August 1, Christ Church Cathedral – Mozart Violin Concerto No. 1 & Dvořák Czech Suite (Andrei Feher, conductor; Kimberly Durflinger, violin)
- August 2, Baumann Centre – Symphony Story Time: Effie the Singing Elephant (FREE family event)
- August 6, The Butchart Gardens – Symphony in the Summer Festival at The Butchart Gardens (Giuseppe Pietraroia, conductor; Malak El Ouadghiri, young soloist, violin)
- August 8, Inner Harbour – the Victoria Symphony will join The David Foster Foundation’s 40th Anniversary Celebration (FREE event)
- August 9, Qualicum Beach Civic Centre – Symphony in the Summer Festival at Qualicum Beach (Giuseppe Pietraroia, conductor; Malak El Ouadghiri, young soloist, violin)

About the Victoria Symphony
The Victoria Symphony (VS) is one of British Columbia’s largest performing arts organizations, with a mission to engage audiences through the transformational power of live orchestral music. A vital part of Vancouver Island’s cultural landscape, VS presents bold performances, collaborates with world-renowned artists, and fosters community through the shared experience of music. Under the leadership of Music Director Christian Kluxen and Principal Pops Conductor Sean O’Loughlin, VS presents a diverse range of programming each season, including classical masterworks, new music, films, pops, and family concerts.
