Your support is INSTRUMENTAL

Every concert, student experience, and community program begins with the support of people who believe in the power of music. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, sponsors, and supporters, the Victoria Symphony reaches thousands of people each year through performances, education programs, community partnerships, and initiatives that make music more accessible.

Together, we are creating moments of connection, inspiration, and belonging that strengthen our community and enrich lives. You ensure VS remains a strong, dynamic force in our region, not just in the concert hall but also in classrooms, libraries, and community spaces throughout the city.

We invite you to explore the impact of this work in our community and in the lives of so many individuals.

“Concerts & programs with the Victoria Symphony are about breaking new ground – engaging, inspiring and connecting with our community in fresh ways, making sure every experience feels like a meaningful adventure you can take away and keep in your heart.” – Christian Kluxen, Music Director

“It is with sincere gratitude that I thank our community of donors, funders, ticket buyers, musicians, artistic collaborators, staff, and board members who collectively make the Victoria Symphony an organization of which we all can be proud. Your confidence in us recognizes the important role this orchestra plays in Victoria’s cultural life.” – Matthew White, CEO

“We profoundly appreciate the efforts from the Victoria Symphony to remove barriers and bring culture and music closer to our community.”

“I bring my kids to the symphony as often as I can from our home on Saltspring Island because I want them to feel that classical music is for them, too. The Victoria Symphony, apart from being amazing performers, also bring a camaraderie and warm welcome to the stage, so we always feel at home.”

“I really appreciate having the different options for different types of concerts.  I can’t afford to attend them all but I can put together a nice series.”

“The Take Note Program is fabulous… it helps build a bridge with the children and the musicians, and provided a comfortable environment for children to engage more with the music, with an instrument, and a musician. Thank you for sharing the joy of music with our school community!”

“I’ve been attending since 1978 and never imagined Victoria audiences could be so engaged with Maestro Kluxen’s thought-provoking and even challenging programs. His comment that the musicians are not there just to entertain us but to make us feel, really resonate with me.”

Victoria Symphony respectfully acknowledges and offers gratitude to the lək̓ʷəŋən people, known today as the Songhees and Xwsepsum Nations, whose unceded lands we live, work, and perform on. We honour their stewardship, care, and leadership — past, present, and future.
