Music takes us on a journey and speaks to us in a personal way. Every year, your Symphony reaches over 140,000 people, bringing expression beyond words, unique experiences and extraordinary music to people of all ages in our communty. Your financial gift ensures that tickets remain affordable for everyone, including the 12,000 children introduced to orchestral music each year. Please make a donation to the Victoria Symphony and help us continue to delight, define and inspire.

In addition to the 60 concerts we perform annually, the Symphony accompanies every opera and major dance perfomance. Our muscians are faculty memebers at the Univeristy of Victoria, the Victoria Conservatory of Music and other renowned institutions, mentoring and enriching the next generation of great musicians, our children and yours. Your support also allows us to bring in world-renowed guest soloists to Victoria such as pianist Angela Cheng and cellist Desmond Hoebig.

Conductor’s Circle

Your Conductor’s Circle donation of $1,000 is integral to maintaining the excellence of your Victoria Symphony. From our dynamic Music Director, Christian Kluxen, to our innovative programming and educational and outreach programs, your gift supports the Symphony in many ways. Your Conductor’s Circle recognition also includes enhanced experience and all the benefits of a Victoria Symphony Friend.

Gifts of Publicly-Traded Stock

Donations of stock allow you to help support The Victoria Symphony, and receive a significant tax credit. A tax receipt for the fair market value of the donation is issued using the closing trading price on the day the Victoria Symphony receives the security. As well, your donation is exempt from capital gains tax, which typically applies to the sale of a stock.

Qualifying publicly-traded securities include shares, bonds, warrants, options listed on a prescribed stock exchange, mutual fund shares/units and segregated fund units.

It is easy to do. Simply download and complete the Donation Form for Gifts of Stock and send it to your broker. We will look after the rest.

Turn your original art into music.

Donate valued and original art to the VS. It will be sold through Levis Fine Auctions. You will receive a tax receipt and the money raised will be used to fund the artistic and education programs of the VS.
