Are you passionate about music, community, and making an impact? The Victoria Symphony (VS) is seeking dynamic individuals to join our Board of Directors.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking individuals who share our passion for music and community. We pride ourselves on having a well-managed board. We are keen to recruit new members who share our commitment to good, sustainable leadership and governance in the arts.
For new board members joining in 2025, we are seeking candidates with:
- Expertise in Finance: Accounting, financial management, or investment experience (CPAs welcome!).
- Community Connections: Strong networks in Victoria to amplify Victoria Symphony’s reach.
- Youth Engagement: Insights into school-based music programs or youth initiatives.
- A commitment to Equity and Diversity: Passion for fostering inclusivity and accessibility, reflecting the rich diversity of Victoria.

What to expect
All Board members are volunteers and serve a three-year term renewable up to a maximum of two consecutive terms and:
- Attend board meetings (normally eight times a year) and VS events.
- Participate in committees.
- Advocate for the VS in the community.
- Support the VS financially, as able.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Elections take place at the Annual General Meeting each September.
