Give the Gift of Music
On Tuesday, December 3rd give the gift of music!
The VS is committed to enriching lives in our community through the shared experience of extraordinary music. Our programs engage children, youth, aspiring composers and the entire community to create a thriving music community on Vancouver Island. For example our VS Education Concerts provide fun, accessible and engaging experiences while exposing students to the wonders of live classical music. Each year these concerts outreach to over 10,000 elementary school students on Vancouver Island.
The Victoria Symphony’s Instrument Petting Zoo involves High School and University aged musicians showing children how to hold and play a variety of instruments such as the violin, cello, clarinet, trumpet, trombone and more. The Instrument Petting Zoo is always a crowd favourite at Symphony Splash and at our Concerts for Kids. This Giving Tuesday your donation will help us with the program, including things like new instruments for the Instrument Petting Zoo.
When you join our monthly giving program, you will join a special group of people reaching out each month to provide our community with access to a varied repertoire of exceptional live orchestral music performed by the world’s greatest artists. These gifts provide a stable foundation of funding to support our acclaimed concert performances and vital curriculum-based education programs. Every gift makes a difference!
A $10 monthly donation, the cost of the average streaming service, could mean the rental of an instrument for our Instrument Petting Zoo.
Every donation made out to the Victoria Symphony Society or the Foundation for the Victoria Symphony goes towards your yearly membership. Every donation of $10 or more receives a tax receipt.
