A fitting work for the Remembrance Day period, Victoria composer Christopher Butterfield’s Convoy PQ-17 commemorates the tragic near destruction of an Allied convoy by German forces in July 1942. This sensational requiem features renowned dance troupe Coleman Lemieux & Compagnie, the Victoria Philharmonic Choir and a stunning set.

Back by popular demand, Victoria pianist Lorraine Min returns to perform the powerful Saint-Saëns Piano Concert No. 4. This program also features Tania Miller conducting Debussy’s thrilling impression of the sea, La Mer, and other works including the magical sea interludes from Peter Grimes and the Overture to the Flying Dutchman.
