announces the following vacancy for 2023/24 Season:

PRINCIPAL PERCUSSION

National auditions will be held in the fall of 2023 at the Farquhar Auditorium, University of Victoria.

Salary & Benefits:

• Dates of Employment: September 2023 – May 2024 (specific dates to be determined)
• 2023/24 Season Length: 36 weeks
• 2023/24 Salary:  $174.98 per service
  • 190 services minimum guarantee
  • 8% MPFC Pension
  • 40% doubling as per Master Agreement

The musicians of the Victoria Symphony are Canadian members of the American Federation of Musicians.

This audition is open only to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents at this time. Candidates may be required to show proof of Canadian Citizenship or eligibility to work in Canada.

The audition committee reserves the right to dismiss, at any time during the audition procedure, any candidate who does not meet the required standards of the Victoria Symphony.
